Divine Burgundy

Chassy lies right at the beginning of Burgundy in a pitturesque landscape adjacant to the lovely Puisaye.
Next to Arbonne one finds the little Tholon brook that streams from the Puisaye to Joigny.

Roncemay Golf Course​

At 5 minutes distance, amidst age-old oaktrees lies the Domaine du Roncemay Golf Course.
​It is an 18-hole international golf course, but playable by golfers of all levels. It has a swimming-pool, a hammam and tenniscourts as well.

Danse macabre

In the nearby church of La Ferté-Loupière​ a famous dance macabre is to be found. Frescoes from the 15th and 16th century, with a lenght of 25 metres and no less than 42 personages.

Saint-Fargeau

Has a history of over 10 centuries. One wouldn't imagine that the pink bricks of its walls give room to an elegant court, designed by the architect Le Vau in the 17th century.  The trusses of the castle are world famous.

dating from the 13th century, a real stronghold with six towers of defence. 
​Nowadays the castle hosts a pottery and workshops for painting and music, concerts and exhibitions of contemporary art.

A castle under construction !
​The construction is done by means of traditional tools and according the medeaval procedures, and this to the very detail.  There are no bullldozers, vans or cranes to be found here. Lots of spectators though.
